about the OT:

Alison is a pediatric occupational therapist and certified lactation counselor with over 10 years of experience working with pediatric populations; from pre-crawling infants to toddlers and beyond. She is passionate about supporting optimal outcomes with a strong knowledge base regarding the importance of early intervention. As a mom herself, she can attest that while a strong foundation is essential for optimal development, early childhood development is not always linear.

Utilizing a holistic approach, she focuses on a whole-body, family-centered service delivery model via parent coaching - she understands that parents are the experts when it comes to their children. Her primary goal is always to support parents at their current stage along their journey, to empower and equip them with the knowledge and skill they need to achieve their desired outcomes for their child.

Alison has completed specialized training in various modalities to promote successful infant feeding and to elicit optimal developmental growth and skill acquisition throughout the early years. Her ability to establish a strong family rapport and her positive reputation for her gentle, yet hands-on approach speaks for her passion in helping young babies and children achieve a balanced state of wellness.

We believe that true success lies in supporting not just the patient but the entire family, fostering familial well-being.

With a commitment to a personalized and holistic approach, we empower our clients to embrace their health journey fully. We understand the profound impact that feeding and swallowing disorders can have on the body, and we utilize our extensive training to address these challenges comprehensively.

Our approach goes beyond the therapy session – we encourage our clients and their families to integrate exercises and therapeutic techniques into their everyday activities. By understanding the 'why' behind the exercises and therapy, families can take an active role in their loved one's progress.

Testimonials

  • Meghan is always willing to meet my son on his best and worst days, when he is ready to focus and ready to play. We saw progress so rapidly with her direction and how to implement daily. I love that she leads me as a parent in the work of the day to day and we get to check in and meet once a month on moving forward. We have had to step away from feeding therapy for a while as life got a bit hectic and inflation impacting everyone, but I know as soon as we pick back up she will welcome us with open arms. We love her!!

  • Embodied Breastfeeding was such a Godsend! I took my 1 week old to one of the sessions and it helped significantly in our breastfeeding journey. She had a small tie which was making breastfeeding uncomfortable. I was given different tools and myofunctional exercises to practice at home with her. Through continued support with CFT and Meghan’s work, we were able to avoid a release and I’ve continued breastfeeding 14+ months now. Dr. Brittney and Meghan are wonderful practitioners. I owe a lot to them— especially their guidance in holistic health as a new mom. Made all the difference in decisions I made for my daughter. I’m now almost due with a baby boy, and I will surely be taking him to one of the classes as soon as possible.

  • I do not think we would be on the trajectory that we are if it was not for meghan. I had consulted with Meghan about my almost 2 year old's speech. I also informed her of my daughter's chronic ear infections, enlarged adenoids, thumb sucking, and asthma. Meghan had asked me some follow up questions and proceeded to help me seek out a myofunctional therapist in my area. Low and behold, my daughter desperately needs it. Meghan is so passionate about this field and about what she does. She truly wants to help other people and I believe this is her God given ability to do so. She was so thorough and very kind. She also alwasy listened, no matter my concerns.

  • I tell everyone about you and your whole profession. Adults and babies and children! We all need you! Thank you for sharing all the info you do and for the education you've given me. I appreciate you and cherish your feed and our interactions.

    Rebecca M.

  • You have helped our daughter so much come out of her shell. You helped her when we had no idea we would be on this journey, and you gave me hope that my sweet girl would catch up in her own time. Thank you.

  • The embodied breastfeeding group with Dr. Brittney is amazing. As an SLP myself, their group was invaluable in my breastfeeding journey with baby number 3.

    Catherine C.

  • Thank you for EVERYTHING. You seriously are the reason I got to nurse for over 10 months and got to store enough milk to last her for 12 months.

    Courtney H.

  • Dr. Brittany and Meghan have taught me the true meaning of health that I will hold onto forever. Their Embodied Breastfeeding Class saved our breastfeeding journey! Having a baby with tongue/lip ties and reflux almost stopped our breastfeeding all together. They taught me about oral function, body tension, how to naturally support my baby, and so much about breastfeeding! After a few classes and Mother/Baby CFT sessions, I had a completely different baby and breastfeeding was a dream! Getting CFT and oral work/breastfeeding help at the same time is magical. I tell every new mama about this class and their practice! Thank you Dr. Brittany and Meghan, we love you!
